Conclusion

In this paper, we emphasize in our approach to create superquadric based modeler. Superquadrics have their advantages with uniform primitive description. The property of superquadrics, not to have sharp edges can be treated as an advantage for describing the real scenes, where no sharp edge exists. Rounded edges can generate a lot of headache for implementing near zero parameters e and n. Computer precision leads to the minimum usable angle. CSG representation is limited in scope of available target objects. Modern geometric modelers have also B-rep geometry. Simplicity of the kernel the is easily broken when new type of primitives or B-rep is introduced.
